I like ones that have really good pictures and clear directions.
- You Grow Girl by Gayla Trails is aimed at the beginner urban gardener.
- Rodale is the go-to guide for gardening - very good information, light on pictures, though.
- Fine Gardening is another great publication from Taunton.

Ditto, Fine Gardening is one of the best ones, beautiful/inspiring pictures and great how-to articles. I sadly had to part with 100 issues since I was running out of room...
